Linktree free still does the fundamental job — a page of links — at no cost, and that's what most people actually need. The paid tiers buy analytics, branding removal and some commerce features, and after the hike they're harder to justify when the alternatives below exist.
Beacons is the closest like-for-like swap and better value: the free tier includes unlimited links, an email-collection block, content embeds and a basic media kit, and Creator Pro is $10/month — cheaper than Linktree Pro for more. The catch is a 9% transaction fee on sales made through the free plan, so if you're selling, factor that in or upgrade.
Stan Store is a different product — a full creator storefront, not just a link page. There's no free tier and the floor is $29/month, but it's kept transaction fees at 0% since launch, and it's built for selling digital products, courses, coaching and bookings directly from your bio link. It overtakes Linktree Pro on cost once your page clears roughly $156/month in sales, because you're not losing a percentage on every transaction.
