Sentry vs Bugsnag vs Rollbar: error-tracking pricing, and why two of them stopped publishing it

Published Pricing verified

As of this year, Bugsnag and Rollbar both quietly stopped putting dollar figures on their pricing pages — you now see occurrence bands with a "contact sales" link where a number used to be. That alone tells you something about where the category is headed. Sentry is the one holdout that still shows real prices, so it's the easiest of the three to actually budget against.

Sentry's free Developer tier covers 5,000 errors a month for one user with 30-day retention — genuinely usable for a side project. The paid Team plan is $26/month for 50,000 errors, 100,000 performance units, 5,000 session replays, and unlimited seats. That "unlimited seats" detail matters more than it looks: a five-person team on Sentry Team pays the same $26 as a solo developer.

Rollbar's free tier covers 5,000 events; Essentials starts around $13/month and scales with event volume from there. Bugsnag's free tier is a touch more generous at 7,500 events, but its Team plan starts noticeably higher, around $59/month.

Sentry5,000 events, 1 user$26/mo, unlimited users
Rollbar5,000 events~$13/mo
Bugsnag7,500 events~$59/mo

The honest differentiator isn't price, it's what each product is for. Sentry has quietly become an "observability" platform — errors, tracing, logs, session replay, performance — under one roof, which is why its entry price is higher than Rollbar's. Rollbar stays focused on triage: grouping errors well and getting the right one in front of the right person fast. Bugsnag leans mobile, treating app stability as a release-health metric a product team tracks, not just something engineering fixes quietly.

Pick Sentry if you want one tool instead of three. Pick Rollbar if you specifically want lean, fast triage and don't need tracing. Pick Bugsnag if your team ships a mobile app and stability is a KPI someone reports on, not just a bug queue.
